You probably have a deduction for state taxes paid.  Once you finish your state return that would change that deduction.

Thank you for your response. The amount due for Federal went up from $35 to $101, could that have happened from a State deduction?

Possibly.  If you are itemizing your return and have a state deduction for your taxes, if you lowered your state taxes by taking a state deduction, your itemized expenses would decrease which would increase your taxable income which would increase your tax due.

Are you itemizing?

Also, I just checked and I don't have any state deductions.

Unless you are in a state that doesn't collect taxes, state taxes would be part of the itemized deduction. As mentioned earlier, if the amount of taxes paid are reduced, it would increase taxable federal income. There would not be a question on the state side which would change an entry on the federal.
