Account charged. Why?

My bank account was debited today, but I filed taxes a while back. Why am I being charged $64.48?

Did you originally choose to pay your TurboTax fees out of your Federal refund?    And if so, has your Federal refund been delayed at the level of the IRS?    After 45 days or so, TurboTax will debit its fees after notifying you first by email and giving you a chance to pay.    Is that what happened in your situation?    More info in this FAQ:

What products did you originally purchase to arrive at that figure?   Did you use Free Edition PLUS (29.99) and a State return (29.99)?   If so, that would be 59.98, and by the time sales tax is added it could approximate the figure you gave.

We bought CD. In the process of state tax processing, it said first state tax filing was free, but before taxes were filed it made us pay $25 before it would file-Why?

The state return software is free, however, there is a fee to e-file the return through Turbo Tax. If you do not want to pay the fee, you can always print and file by mail.
