thought we were allowed one free e file for state i still gotta pay filed 2 this yr and last yr and still had to pay why is this when it even asks you if u want free e file ???????

With the Desktop version you get One Free State Program (to prepare your returns).  To e-file a State return there is a $25 e-file charge.  To avoid the charge you can mail in your State return.
