2025 Fidelity Import held even though forms are available

I'm trying to import 1099-Rs from Fidelity.  The forms are available for me to download directly from Fidelity, but TT tells me that No Documents Currently Available For Import.  It goes on to say that no 1099s will be available until Friday, January 31 at 00:00:00 PT.

What gives?

Fidelity forms have been available to download for a while, but there is NO way to login to Fidelity Investments in TurboTax. When selecting Fidelity Investments, TurboTax opens a "blank" page with no option to login.

Fidelity says this is a TurboTax issue.

Called Fidelity today 02/25/25 and they insist that the import delay is TT problem. So we've entered the finger pointing stage. What's TT's position on this?

If you're using TurboTax Online, download a PDF of your 1099's to your desktop.  Enter your 1099-INT/DIV's as a total in those sections.  A PDF of your 1099-B's can be attached to your tax file.

If you're using TurboTax Desktop, type Fidelity in the search window at the import page, then double-click on it in the search results below. You'll get a Fidelity pop-up, and Continue.

A new browser tab opens, 'Let's get your forms'.

If you can give more details, we'll try to help.

2025 Fidelity Import held even though forms are available

Hi

As mentioned - Fidelity 1099-B - forms are available online.

I have TurboTax - Desktop version.

But after picking up Fidelity Investment - and double click on it - it tells that the forms will be available from January 31 2026.

Most likely Turbo Tax software needs to allow to download. so a software patch for this needs to be put.

Please look into it.

Although you might be able to view or print your information from the website, most banks, brokerages and other financial institutions do not have the data formatted for import into tax software before sometime in February.  So if you are wanting to enter it sooner, you have to key it in by hand.   Or….wait until it is available for import.

If you want to enter it manually, click the option that says “I’ll type it in myself”

Since your 1099-B's are available online, you could use those to make your entries into TurboTax.  The data used for the import from Fidelity is a different format than forms viewed online, so the import takes longer to be available.

You could also use Auto Import to be notified when the import happens.

There are many entries to enter manually. Does not make sense to enter it manually and make a mistake.

I guess no choice but to wait.

Here's How to Enter a Summary in Lieu of Individual Transactions.  This is all the IRS needs, as they have copies of your 1099-B's anyway.  Makes your tax file smaller and quicker to open, too.
