2022 Turbotax Form 8915F-T - Cannot e-file

So I have been checking a couple of times a week to see when Form 8915F-T will be available in the 2022 desktop version. The software has consistently been saying that this form will be available to file by mail and e-file on 02/16/2023. All good.

Today the software says available to file by mail on 02/16/2023, but now says "Cannot e-file." This form and it's variants were able to be e-filed in TY 2021 and TY 2020.

Does anyone know more about this? Will we be unable to e-file for TY 2022 if we need to use this form?

I still cant efile, its frustrating. Fist said it would be ready February 16 but it's february 27 and I still cant efile. I hope turbotax reads this message. If not available in to efile in a day or two, I'll use a different tax platform

That's annoying. My only gripe is why they don't make an announcement as to why. Last year it was around 17th of March, if I recall.

I gave up when I woke up this morning to see it had been pushed back AGAIN to 03/09. I suggest everyone just eat their fees if they paid already and use e-file instead. It's super simple and you wouldn't believe it-- I got to file in like 30 minutes. I'm never EVER using TurboTax again. This is even after 3 blasts on twitter in hopes they could give a few more f's.

I came here looking for an answer to this question as well. My profile shows Available to file: 03/09/2023. Not sure why we have to deal with this since it was the gvt that caused all this mess to begin with. So fed up with all of it! They keep taking more and more every year with nothing for us!!!

Currently the file selection shows E-File unavailable due to Form availability now showing 3/9/2023.

Current Time/Date 3/7/2023 8:08PM EST - See image below - Am I the only one who attempted to file early, in my specific scenario 2/5/2023, now it's been over 1 Month and some change 3/7/2023, with Date showing for 3/9/2023.

See Image below - Although I understand the dates have been changing, paying for MAX benefits when filing should include Support related to questions/concerns filing situation. I was mis-led when filing as my situation wasn't available to file until "AFTER" I had paid with E-File unavailable.

Turbo tax online takes payment before verifying forms are available. Because payment was taken I can no longer manually delete form in question. I’m also unable to speak to someone without upgrading ! So I upgrade. PREPOSTEROUS! I have a court date and need my taxes COURT DATE WAS YESTERDAY. The disaster distribution I NEED IS FROM TURBO TAX FOR THIS DISASTER AAAAAAAAAARRRGHJHJJJJJHHH!

That form became available today (3/9/2023).

YESSS, FINALLY SOME GOOD NEWS ON THIS FORM!!! When I got the email notification I was actually scared it would be somebody else saying the date for the form being available would be pushed back again. I'll definitely be going back in to get mine knocked out tonight.

I received the same "error code" and it said the form would be ready this morning and it was. I successfully filed this morning. Please give it another shot.

Yes, I was finally able to file last night and I have received notification that both federal and state were accepted.

Yes, i can see that but the form isn't ready so my concern is that you will have to amend it if any issues come up. Hopefully no issues.

So efiled yesterday like many others and woke up today to it being rejected. Looks like Turbotax is inputting invalid Fema number on LIne C "Covid-19" that according to Line D should be left empty. I'm trying to manually edit that form in Turbotax to remove that invalid code but Turbotax does not allow you to edit that form manually for some reason!!!???

Same issue here. I went through the steps of correction- uncheck the box, recheck the box, make sure Line C is blank in the drop down, preview the taxes and sure enough the COVID word is still sitting on Line C. I can not remove it manually.
