We received two CP2000 letters from the IRS in the last four months concerning our 2020 return. We responded as requested and spoke with IRS representatives. Our turbotax return is correct, and documents were mailed USPS not e-filed. However, the IRS is reporting from electronic transcripts which read very different from our turbotax documents that we MAILED IN. For example, we filed married jointly not single. The IRS reported tax data is erroneous as well. We have explained and verified the correct information twice now. Today we spoke again to the IRS agent and were advised to reach out to turbotax for assistance and re-send our documents. Can you explain this discrepancy or assist us in correcting the erroneous transcript the IRS is using?
Thank you for your consideration.

Without trying to sound evasive, when you used TurboTax in 2020 did you sign up for Audit Defense? If so you should try to retrieve the contact number from the email you would have received acknowledging that and giving them a call. If you did not, there is very little we can do here in Community to assist you. If you used TurboTax Live! in 2020, you can still call up and ask for someone from the Audit Experience team to assist you as they are more knowledgeable in what can and cannot be done. Either way if you used TurboTax Live! you can call and speak to a representative.
The alternative here is to query the questions that have been previously asked in Community about receiving a CP2000 notice. The link is below:
Thank you Joseph S1.
