I earned income from a direct marketing company and received a 1099-MISC. Turbo Tax asked me twice about the same 1099-MISC. I do not earn money from this direct marketing company EXCEPT for what was on the 1099-MISC. From reading the tax guides, it looks like I can list this within the same questions that cover the 1099-NEC forms and not a part of a Schedule C. Can someone confirm this for me?
I am not sure why Turbo Tax asked me twice for the same information.

You can enter the 1099-MISC in TurboTax as "Other Common Income," which is reported on line 8 of 1040 Schedule 1 and will not generate Schedule C or SE tax. Please use the following steps:
7. Continue through the rest of the interview screens. The income will appear as Other Income.
Thank you for your detailed response. I feel comfortable filing now.
