1099-B - Glitch with Date Acquired

I am filling out my 1099-B form with Turbo Tax and for my Long-term held sale there is no Date Aqcuired listed. I tried to leave this blank in Turbo Tax, but it is asking for a date and will not let me file without one. There is no date listed so how do I get around this?

Yes, you may need to enter the missing information from your 1099-B.

It is pretty common to receive a 1099-B with incomplete or missing information.

If you would like more information about entering missing data, click on button in Turbo Tax.

If your 1099-B is from Chase Bank, there may have been a problem downloading the original 1099-B.  For additional information see the following link:

I have been told by two chat representatives that this is a known issue, and I can't continue until Turbotax fixes it.

1099-B - Glitch with Date Acquired

Some users are reporting an issue after importing their 1099-B form. After receiving a Check this entry error message, they see the Date acquired field is blank.

To fix this, please manually enter your Date acquired info. You’ll then be able to continue through your return.

1099-B - Glitch with Date Acquired

I can't enter the Date Acquire or the Cost Basis manually.  I already submitted a support message with my step by step procedure of what is not working, but it's likely related to this issue.  I have called customer support, but they are stepping me through baby steps, like "shut down your computer and re-install" which isn't going to make a bug like this disappear.  I am able to enter information, but nothing saves to the form.  None of my data persists .  I enter it in the appropriate fields, but it doesn't go to any calculations, and if I go out and back to the same form, the manually entered information is blank again.   Please help me find the wright person to resolve this.
