Im having trouble with my marketplace id number
Each Marketplace health plan has a unique 14-character identifier that's a combination of numbers and/or letters. You can find a plan's ID below the plan name when you preview plans and prices. If you've already enrolled in a plan, you'll find your plan's ID in your Marketplace account under "My Plans and Programs."
If you enter your plan ID in the box under “Search by plan ID,” you may get an “Invalid plan ID” message. If this happens, you may not be able to enroll in that plan. Check the plan ID to make sure you entered it correctly. If it’s entered correctly and still invalid, you can choose another plan or call the Marketplace Call Center at 1-800-318-2596.
The Identifier is also found in Part 1, Box 1 of Form 1095-A. See this TurboTax tips article for more information about Form 1095-A. See also this IRS article for more information about the Premium Tax Credit.
Please provide additional information if you are having a specific issue with your marketplace identifier number.
Detailed information about Marketplace health plans is available at healthcare.gov.
I am running into the same thing - Box 1 only shows the state 'WASHINGTON', and I am not finding any 14-character identifier in my Marketplace account. I found a 10 digit one on the plan brochure, but entering that gave me the same 'Please enter an amount' message without letting me continue on. Help!
Box 1 should be your Market Place identifier (see screenshot below). Have you received an e-file rejection or a needs review warning when you enter what is listed in box 1 on the 1095-A entry?
Unfortunately box 1 for me just shows the state name (see attached), so TurboTax doesn't accept that, and I can't add the form in.
Just use WA here, don't spell it out.
That still gives the 'Please enter an amount' error and doesn't allow me to continue.
Do you have a number in Box 2 on your 1095-A? Try that number.
