I'm filling out my daughter's tax forms. She had a 1095-A for Jan-part of November as she passed away in October 2022. When I enter the data from the 1095-A, it gives me error messages and asks for a second lowest silver plan premium for column B. Why do I need this if she died in October? It won't let me finish this form. She had a premium that was tax adjusted as she was not eligible for a lower rate.

Mermie,
First of all, I am truly sorry for your loss.
As to your question, what state do you live in? The various 2022 silver premiums are often directly available from the corresponding state website. If not, you may need to make a call and wait on hold.
The reason that the 1095-A dialogue asks about the premiums is that it is possible that your daughter's return is eligible for the Premium Tax Credit even if none of it was prepaid as advance premium credits.
Thanks for your input. This was new for both my son and daughter.
For every line where there is an amount in column A you must also have an amount in column B ... get that from the ACA :
