On TurboTax, when it comes to medical expenses, there are a number of separate screens that allow you to separately identify lab work, physical therapy, and the like.
These expenses are already and separately identified in Quicken, but when they - and other similar expenses - are imported from Quicken into TurboTax, all these expenses get lumped into one screen and the required visibility is lost.
It may be too late to make this improvement (for Quicken tax lines to correctly be identified in TurboTax) but I sure would like to see this be added going forward in TurboTax.

probably because the IRS does not require details. your task is not that complicated. use the Quicken report to get a total of medical expenses then compare it to what Turbotax imported. if the numbers agree there's nothing more that's needed. those separate categories in Quicken are not reported to the IRS.
by the way, Qucken and Intuit are now separate independent companies.
YES, EXPAND THE MEDICAL DEDUCTIONS ACCORDING TO THE VARIOUS SUB-ITEMS. WE IMPORT THE DATE THEN HAVE TO CUT AND PASTE TO MAKE THE APPROPRIATE ITEMS APPEAR UNDER THE SUB CATEGORIES. i HAVE BEEN A USER MORE THAN 30 YEARS AND WAITING FOR AN UPGRADE IN THIS AREA. APPARENTLY YOUR PROGRAMMERS DON'T SEE THE PROBLEM...TOO YOUNG TO HAVE MEDICAL DEDUCTIONS!!
