Ok, I always use Turbo Tax every year and do my taxes myself. This is one year that I am in need of doing the Refund Advanced option. I am new to signing up for the advanced money. I was clueless while doing my return at the end where it says to get the advanced funds. What I did was went ahead and used my bank card to pay for turbo tax fees then I selected the Advanced Return Funds using Kredit Karma Money Card app. So I applied for the card today, now I am waiting on it to come in the mail in like 7 days or so.... My question is...Since I sent my return in 2 days before the IRS is technically supposed to accept returns what will happen? I was under the impression that If I did the Advanced loan thing they would let me file my return they give me the money then on the day that the IRS opens to accept returns they will submit it then but I am also curious as to how it works like do they give me the funds then when the IRS issues my refund they deduct their amount they let me borrow then give me the remaining amount I am owed??? >> I am so confused this year. I was hesitant about doing the advanced thing to begin with and now im scared that I may have messed up everything and probably wont get my return until like April. I have read different forums and some people say if they file taxes too early that they are put in a backlog and over looked until later on in the tax season....I sure hope not. Please if anyone has any accurate answer for me please let me know. I just wanted to borrow like 1,000 max and it didnt give me any option to select the amount so does that mean that I will just get whatever they give me? I wish I didnt do this now. Its too stressful. I know this is a lot and a little all over the place with my questions but I am so confused..... Sorry I sound like a complete idiot right but this stuff is confusing af.

Yes, if you Efiled before the official IRS date, your return may sit until that date. However, some are processed early, but there's no way to tell which ones.
It sounds like you did everything correctly, and you're right, Credit Karma will decide how much of an advance you can receive.
You can receive your funds right after your return has been Accepted by the IRS. Watch for an Email from TurboTax, telling you your return has been Accepted.
Here's how you can Check Efile Status and a link to Credit Karma Support.
