No you only will pay the difference for Premier.  Are you using the Online web based version or did you buy the Desktop Deluxe program?

I am using 2016 online and see the option to upgrade but I am trying to get caught up on 2015 taxes so I downloaded 2015 earlier this evening. I want to upgrade my 2015 and can't find where to do that.

To do  2015 now you have to be using the Desktop program.  All the Desktop programs have all the same forms so you don't need to upgrade.  You just get more help in the higher versions.  What version did you buy and install?  What do you want to upgrade 2015 to?  What do you need to enter?  I can tell you where to enter everything.

I am using the Deluxe 2015 and need Premier because of some self employment / business. Started / invested money in a business that didnt go anywhere and want to try to account for that.

Like I said you can use Deluxe.  Did you get a K-1 for the business or do you need to fill out schedule C for self employment?  You can enter both of those into Deluxe.  Give it a try before upgrading.

To enter a K-1 go to
Federal Taxes Tab
Wages and Income
Choose Jump to Full List -or  I'll choose what I work on
Then scroll way down to Business Items
Schedules K-1, Q - Click the Start or Update button

Be sure to pick the right kind of K-1. There are 3 kinds, 1041, 1065 & 1120S

For Self Employment on Schedule C:
Federal Taxes Tab
Wages & Income
Choose Jump to Full List -or  I'll choose what I work on
Then scroll way down to Business Items
Business Income and Expenses - Click the Start or Update button

You use your own name, address and ssn or business name and EIN if you have one.   You should say you use the Cash Accounting Method and all income is At Risk.

After it asks if you received any 1099Misc it will ask if you had any income not reported on a 1099Misc. You should be keeping your own records.  Just go through the interview and answer the questions.   Then you will enter your expenses.
