psychotherapy fee write off.

I am a psychotherapist.  I charge 130.00 dollars an hour.  the Insurance company only pays me 80.00 dollars an hour.  Can I write off the other 50.00 dollars of my fee as a loss of income.

No you can’t. On the bright side you don’t have to pay tax on the amount that you didn’t receive.
