Great. Thank you. I attempted to file and it says everything is ready so hopefully you have the same luck.
Looks like as of today, 3/11/22, both the form 8911 and form 6251 are available in the desktop software version.
That is correct, both form 8911 and 6251 are currently available in the Turbo Tax desktop software.
Hello, I am trying to file a completed return but the desktop software still says form 8911 is "available soon". Yes, I just updated and restarted the software.
Please advise
Thanks!
***weird - it just started working.....disregard***
I just updated my copy of Home & Business and Form 8911 is showing as available.
In a test return, I had no issues with the form or being flagged on the final review.
The link posted about forms availablity shows Form 8911 being available now. I have purchased TT yet, can anyone confirm form is available? Normally use HRBlock but they can’t tell me if Form 8911 will ever be available so was going to switch to TT if it had it.
*Edit: sorry just noticed the final pages with ppl posting it was available.
It is available as of 3/11 and works. I filed on 3/11 after waiting 6 weeks for TT to get their act together.
Well, I don't know how much good it did for me to use the 8911 and 6251 forms from the IRS website to complete my return and mail it in, rather than wait for turbotax's approved versions. I was able to hand deliver my state and mail my federal tax returns on 2/14/22, but as of this morning -- 3/15/22 -- the online checkers for IRS and the state do not yet acknowledge receipt, even though I hand delivered my state return and put it in their return drop box. So, it is possible that waiting the four weeks for TT to make the forms available to the desktop software and then just filing electronically would have resulted in getting the refunds earlier than using paper submittals. Then again, I have always hand delivered my state, and got the refund in two weeks, so it is likely the Covid pandemic has significantly impacted physical processing of returns at the state and at the federal levels.
BTW, I did request just a partial refund from TT for the delay knowing it was slightly past their 60 day guarantee. Even with the documented issues, they refused any type of concession to a 19 year customer.
Typical Intuit BS and poor customer service.
I have done all of the updates to Turbotax Premier, but I still cannot get the EV charging station credit to populate. I cannot figure it out. Can anyone help? I don't owe AMT, so I don't know what is prohibiting it.
It would be best to follow the instructions here in order to contact us by phone. @SSSanders6026
On my Turbo Tax version there is a worksheet 6251. However, when printed it only shows a page 1 and 3. The form 6251 on TurboTax also does not resemble the 2 page form on the IRS website. This did not print with my try to e-file or when i asked to print all my forms. The State of Minnesota requires this form if you go into the AMT. I could not e-file that because the form was not included as necessary. But my biggest question is why is this form completely different then the IRS form?
It might be available in the desktop version, but the form does not resemble the IRS form at all. The TT form has a page 1 and 3??? The IRS form has pages 1-2.

The TurboTax Form 6251 is two pages exactly like the IRS Form 6251
The IRS Form 6251 is two pages - https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f6251.pdf
