Question

problems buying a 2nd state w/ turbotax on windows

I'm running a dell laptop.  I need to use 2 states, the free one worked fine.  With the 2nd, when I click "see amount" at the top, the application pauses for 30 seconds, then asks me to save which takes another 30 seconds (it never pauses outside this).  After this, it brings up a blank window.  If I click top to resize or move it, the window "scooches" all the way down off the screen.  At this point the program is hung and all I've been able to do is kill it with task manager.  When I try again, I get the same behavior.

Try disabling your main internet browsers pop up blocker before getting to the payment page.

The billing address on your credit card and the mailing address on your tax return have to match or you will get an error for paying with a credit card.

If they are not the same then change your mailing address to your billing address.  Click on My Info on the left side of the screen.  Edit you mailing address and Continue.  Go back to the File section to make your payment.

After the payment has been approved, go back to My Info and change the address back to the original.

Rebooting fixed it.  However, when I got to e-file and had to pay I had the same problem again, rebooted again to make progress.  Unclear if this is a windows problem, browser problem or turbotax problem - probably windows given the reboot.
