Hi there.
Recently logged in BestBuy web and looked for TurboTax 2025. At the bottom of the page BestBuy listed third party websites that sell TurboTax. One was listed as UNIVEZ dot com. Their price for Download version of DELUXE FEDERAL & STATE was $34.99. My antenna went up with red flag. Their address was at residential area. Sent them am email but never got a reply.
Would anyone please tell me if this is too good to be true? If so, then why BESTBUY is listing them?
Thanks
Mike

Beware of offers that sound too cheap to be true. Purchase your desktop download from Intuit or from an authorized retailer.
This link Where can I obtain authentic TurboTax software? has a list of authorized TurboTax resellers.
Bestbuy and other "marketplaces" allow their web sites to be used by third parties who give them a cut of the proceeds. And they don't always check that the vendor is reliable or honest. This can happen on any marketplace platform that allows third party vendors. You have to be very careful when it does not say "Sold by Bestbuy" or "sold by Target" or "Sold by Walmart" but is sold by someone else.
And yes, this is not an authorized reseller. They might just steal your money, or they might give you a copy with an invalid license or a partially used license that you can't fully use. And if it doesn't work as expected, Turbotax corporate won't fix it for you.
BestBuy's webpage has a DoubleClick ad at the bottom where random ads from unaffiliated companies are shown. BestBuy has nothing to do with the items being advertised. BestBuy simply gets paid by DoubleClick to host these ads.
Google Shopping finds the low price offered by Univez.com for TurboTax.
The Univez.com web page says their phone# is [removed]. I googled that phone number. Google found it "belongs" to multiple businesses:
1. Tax Loc Kin =TaxLockIin.com
2. Kwict.com ="Tax Form Gals"
3. Futuretaxes.com
4. EasyTaxBooking.com
5. SimpleTaxway.com
6. **bleep**az Store (https://gleamhaus.com/shipping-policy/)
7. "Digital Planners - Univez".
8. More ???
The email addresses all=have the same pattern: Hello@<fill-in-the -name>.com
Conclusion: Looks pretty sketchy. I wouldn't trust it.
I don't think they partner with TurboTax, so you may not get a legit copy.
