Please help me get back to Kiddie Tax Form or interview screen?

I'd like either in the interview to get back to the screen that says:

"Child's Unearned Income. Now we'll help you complete form 8615..."

but all i get is "You are not subject to kiddie tax"

The system seems to think I supplied more than half of my own support and I can't seem to change that.

Here are things I already tried.

1. Open Form --> 8615 -->  Override the answer "... did not exceed one-half of their support"
[it says No, and I can not override to yes]
2. say that another person declares me as a dependent in the early interiew
[the dependent question and the kiddie tax question seem independent in the system
even though to me they are logically connected in my mind]

so what to do?

The section that would ask the question regarding providing for over half of a child's expenses is in the My Info section of the return.

To get to the Child's income portion of your return go to:

    1. Income & Expenses
    2. Scroll to Less Common Income

    3. Select Child's Income (Under Age 24)

    4. Continue through the interview

    The guidelines for filing are:

    • If your child's only income is unearned and doesn't exceed $1,100, it doesn't need to be reported.
    • If their unearned income is between $1,100 and $12,400 in certain situations can be included on your return.
    • If your child's unearned income is $12,400 or more, he or she will need to file their own return.

Thanks for the quick response, but unfortunately this did not work.

When I go to Child's income it gives me the option "Update"

    when I click "Update"

    it says
"You are Not Subject to Kiddie Tax" with the three criteria, with no option to inform turbo tax that I supplied less than half of my own support.

    Any other ideas?

I found the correct answer, but it was not so obvious.

    Step 1. Go to FORMS

Step 2. Go to Personal Info Worksheet

Step 3. Change Line 4 in Part II to NO

then and only then is it possible to follow
JohnB5677's steps to complete the task.
Otherwise it's impossible as I had found out.
