Why am I asked to pay again for state tax when I have paid already

If you paid for the TurboTax account and then added a state tax return, the state program is an additional charge of $44.99.

To check your TurboTax account fees click on Tax Tools on the left side of the program screen.  Click on Tools.  Click on My Fees

Just want to clarify,   To pay for the Turbo Tax preparation fee or did you file a state return and the state is asking for the tax due?
