2024 and I’m still having this issue while filing using the Full Service option. Why is this still an issue? I see posts about this going back to 2018 and the product team has still not created a fix for this?
Anyone have any updates?
Hi Kotterst, I'm no longer using TurboTax, I started using H&R Block Expat Online (Please google it). I have given up trying to file eFile I just mail it in, as I don't have to pay any taxes since I always file the 2555 form, Foreign Earned Income.
With H&R it has been a lot simpler and I don't have to do the fiddling around with going back and forth changing addresses.
Anyhow, I just wanted to share this.
My client has a foreign address and was getting the same message. What i did was change her address in the my info to a US address. my client used her parents address. Then I had the client complete the checkout again and did not get the error message. Once client complete the checkout process. I went back to write mode and changed her address back to foreign address and I was able to e-file.
