When you ask for the code, you have to leave the TurboTax screen with the code input field open while you use a separate tab, a separate window, or separate browser to retrieve the code from your email. Don't use the same screen to go check your email or the code will always be seen as expired or invalid. You can even use your phone to check your email while you leave the TurboTax screen open.
So that's the first thing to try to make sure you haven't been leaving the screen that asks for the code.
If it continues, see if you can verify your email address in the Intuit Account settings.
