What taxes are you referring to?
Federal income taxes paid for a prior year? State income taxes paid for a prior year?
Estimated federal taxes paid in 2021? State estimated taxes paid in 2021?
I am referring to my 2021 income taxes. Federal and State.

Federal and state income taxes withheld from wages or other income are already reported on a W-2 or Form 1099.
If you are referring to estimated tax payment made in 2021 then use this procedure to report the estimated taxes paid.
To enter, edit or delete estimated taxes paid (Federal, State, Local) -
Or enter estimates paid in the Search box located in the upper right of the program screen. Click on Jump to estimates paid
Or click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen.
Click on Tools
Click on Topic Search
Type in estimated tax payments, click on GO
Federal estimated taxes paid are entered on Form 1040 Line 26
No, I did not receive a reply that properly answered my question.

If you are not referring to taxes withheld from a W-2 or a Form 1099 and you are not referring to estimated tax payments made in 2021. Then what taxes are you referring to?
This is so strange and should be simple:
1. My spouse paid self employment tax in December 2023.
2. Now I would like to ensure that the tax calculation accounts for the same
3.There is no place where turbo tax checks or asks a question for the same
Interestingly, I tried to use the estimated tax section, and I can enter the paid tax, however it does not explain anywhere that I should be using this section to account for SE tax that is already paid!
There is no help or explanation available anywhere. Very frustrating.
If the payment was made to the IRS, then you should consider it to be an estimated tax payment. There is no provision to tell the IRS or your tax return that you specifically paid the money to go toward Self-Employment (SE) tax.
When you complete your return all taxes owed are lumped together into one number. Then estimated payments made to the IRS are deducted from the total tax bill. So any estimated payments made to the IRS are applied to the whole tax bill, not just a certain tax like SE.
