I'm doing my 2020 taxes on Nov 2021 and I like to import my broker stock and bank information from 2020 and the TurboTax desktop version is showing an error message saying that broker file will be available on 2022.
I think that the software has a bug or some kind of setup configuration to force download the current taxt from the broker and not to the next fiscal year.

Thanks !!!
I found that moving the date to March 2022 make my data be downloaded.
I'm happy with the hack.
See the solution in this thread --> Solved: Re: Importing Stock transaction file from my stock... (intuit.com)
You can only import brokerage data for the current filing year. Importing is never available for past years.
Thanks !!!

call the broker to see if the .txf file is still available (not the .csv or.xml). I tried to import 2019 data for that return and 2018 data for that return from several brokers. they were not available. since there have been no recent updates to either program, I'm of the opinion it's the brokers that have stopped providing the import data. so there's nothing Turbotax can do.
if your broker says it's available ask them for the link.

@leonorozco Did you set your computer date to March 2022 or 2021? Seems like it would need to be 2021 to get 2020 transactions.

You have to change the computer date to 2022 in order to get around the relevant TurboTax screen (which states the documents will not be ready to import until some date in 2022 (varies by the firm)).
I set the date to March 2022.
to retrieve the data from 2021 after I finalized, i returned the date to the current date.
