He moved in with me and my parents in the middle of March 2018 where she provided no financial support but he never officially changed his address. He turned 19 in June of 2018. He made his own money and supported himself from the time he left for bootcamp through the end of the year.

You can claim a child, relative, friend, or fiance (etc.) as a dependent on your 2018 taxes as long as they meet the following requirements:

If your fiance was 19 at the end of 2018, not a full time student and earned more than $4,150 in 2018, then no one can claim him as a dependent.
