My ex provides my son with marketplace healthcare. I am claiming him as dependent. How do I enter son's 1095A if his dads form has family total not ind. total for my son?

My ex gave me a copy of his 1095A.  It has his family of 5 on it.  The totals in columns A, B and C are for the whole family.  How to I figure out the amounts to enter for myself son alone on my tax return?  Do I divide by 5 to get my son's portion?

I appreciate any help, I'm so confused!

The amounts need to be prorated between the returns and percentages must add up to 100%. Check with him to see if he already claimed the full 100% on his return. If not, it is between the two taxpayers how they wish to allocate.

He claims the 100%, fine by me. The premiums listed area totals for all 5 of the family.  To get my son's amounts for the three columns, should I just divide by 5 and use that mount?

No, if he claims 100%, then there is nothing left for you to claim. You will have to claim 0%.

What I am asking is on part III Household information, Turbotax wants me to put in a $ amount for A. Monthly Enrollment premium, B. SLCSP, and C> Monthly advance payment of Premium Tax Credit. I need to enter this $ into each for every month of the year.  The mount on the 1095-A is for the whole family of 5.  Do I put this number, or do I divide by 5 to get just the amount spent on my son?  I will claim 0% when I get to that.

Do not divide by 5. Include the entire amounts and then that you claim zero percent.
