Hello,
This year, I will be filing a return for a relative who uses a money manager. As a result, I want to keep up with all the small buys, sells, gains, and losses throughout the year, rather than waiting until the end of the year.
I always buy TurboTax on CD (usually the Deluxe version). Because the 2020 CD won't be available until early 2021, can someone please suggest a way (online or other) that I can start recording my data this and every month in TurboTax? I looked at adding data to ItsDeductible and then importing that data into TurboTax, but this appears to only track charitable contributions.
One other question. Looking over my relative's 2018 federal return, a number of line items are so complicated (or long) that the CPA summarized that line item with "See Statement xx" and attached the statement to the end of the return. Will TurboTax Deluxe allow me to do that for 2019? Thanks in advance.
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
You need to use a separate finance program like Quicken during the year to enter investments and track expenses.
Thank you. If you haven't already, could you please reread my edited question for additional info?
The TT program will give you the option to enter in summaries and you will mail in a copy of the broker statement within 3 days of efiling .
