My employer was informed just last week or so that my residency status for tax purposes during 2020 should have been an alien resident. Luckily, I haven't filed my 2020 tax forms yet.
In January, my employer mailed me my W-2 form and I was also mailed 1042-S form from another company from which I got some fees (only $100) during 2020.
1- It's my first time using Turbo and I have two questions: Should I wait/request my employer to send a new W-2? Should the details in the boxes be different now that I am a resident alien?
2- Should I still use 1042-S form? Is it a form that resident and non-resident aliens receive? If not, where should I report the fees?
Thanks a lot.

You do not need to get a Form W2 from the second provider.
You can enter the fees a Other Common Income in TurboTax. You will enter the amount from the 1042-S there.
Your W2 should show Social Security and Medicare tax withholding for the year in addition to your gross earnings and Federal and state income taxes withheld.
Thanks a lot for your prompt reply.
My W-2 doesn't have Medicare or SS withholding so I emailed my employer to update my W-2. I am an international student on F-1 visa and my employer is my university though. Not sure if these will be updated but will wait for their response.
Thank you.
