My state return was supposed to be $2,837. The State Franchise Board only deposited $2,057.66. What happened to the remaining $779.34

Each state handles its own refunds, and TurboTax doesn't know why your refund is different. It could be lower due to a refund offset or a correction on your tax return. To determine the difference, click here and find your state of residence. From there, contact the state franchise board for more information.

I did not get the answer I am looking for, if TurboTax filed my report and the information is accurate why shouldn’t they be able to inquire on my behalf. They were the tax preparer.

TurboTax didn't prepare your tax return.  TurboTax is tax preparation software only.  Your tax return was self-prepared using tax preparation software.

No one from TurboTax can intervene on your behalf with the IRS or a State Franchise Tax Board.
