My Ohio tax return was accepted immediately and now says posted but under manual review. What does this mean

Yes it just says that they are processing your return and it can take up to 21 days.

Has anybody got the state refund yet that has a processes date of 01/30/24 I'm still waiting?

My refund date is also 1/30 and I am still waiting for the deposit.

Please allow at least 48 business hours and you should get your direct deposit date.  I filed mine  on January 31 and it was accepted  at 9:31 PM Eastern standard time I checked it just now at 10:10 PM Eastern standard time on February 2 and I received a direct deposit date for seven days after my funds were released today. So don't worry about it you will get your direct deposit date within two business days. Hope this helps 😊

You will likely receive it by Thursday, since it says 7 business days from your release date. I know it seems like eternity...hang in there😊

A state can place a return under manual review status for a variety of reasons, but typically it is just to confirm the identity of the filer, as several users have noted.

If Ohio has further questions after their review, they may issue a letter. See here for more information.

Even if you filed your federal and state returns at the same time, your state may not start processing your state return at the same time as the IRS processes the Federal return. Your state return may remain in pending status several days after your federal return has been accepted. Please see this TurboTax help article for more information.
