Tax ID and Employer ID Numbers are both the same length as a social security number, 12-3456789. A social security number has the dashes differently, 123-45-6789. Your form may be wrong - missing information and you need to call the issuer.
I assume you are reporting self employment income?
Actually you can just enter it as Other self employment income or as Cash or General income. You don't need to get a 1099MISC, 1099NEC or 1099K. Even if you did you can enter all your income as Cash. Only the total goes to schedule C. You should be entering the income from your own records.

The TIN has the 12-3456789 format but it keeps saying incorrect
The Form 1099-NEC is self employment income. Since the payer is using a taxpayer identification number (TIN), possibly a social security number (SSN), instead of an employer identification number (EIN) be sure you are selecting the correct type of number.
