My ex-wife and I got divorced in 2015, but we are back together but still not married. How does our situation work with claiming our daughter?

We file separate tax returns. Can we each file as head of household? Will I be able to claim the EITC on my return if my ex-wife is claiming it on her return?

No, you cannot both file as Head of Household.  The child can only be entered on one tax return as a qualified dependent for HOH filing status.   When all of you live together as a family then only one of you should enter anything about the child on a tax return.  The other parent files Single.
