Without any context I'm not exactly sure what that means, so I'm having to guess a bit.  Are you referring to the 6-digit email verification code some people need when efiling?

 

If so, and if you need to change to a different one, you can go to your settings in your Intuit Account.  You can change the email address if desired (using the steps below.)     Here's how:

 

  • In the left menu column scroll way down to Intuit Account.
  • Then once in the account choose tab Sign In & Security.
  • Once you change it, see if your email address has a tiny link beside it that says "not verified".  If so, click that to verify.
  • Perhaps once you verify it there in the account settings, it won't ask you to verify it again when you are efiling.

Or is it something else?   If my answer above about the email verification code for efiling is not what you are referring to when you say "my email is not correct for my identity,"  are you seeing an email address that you do not recognize at all, and therefore you are concerned your account has been compromised?

 

If so, phone TurboTax Support with your concern.   In the meantime, if you suspect any compromise, change your password.  That's done in the Account Settings mentioned above.
