My daughter received a 1099-Q in her name, but she is our dependent. Should the 1099Q be entered on our, the parents, tax return?

The info on the 1099-Q is entered on the parents return if they are claiming an education credit and then if any of the distribution was NOT used for qualifying education expenses the taxable portion will be entered on the child's return if they are required to file.
