My daughter is 20 years old, a full time student made $10,000 in 2019 but I support over half of her expenses. TurboTax wont let me claim her as a dependent. Why?

In the My Info section for a dependent-

Enter her as your child -Yes

Is her date of birth correct? -Yes

Is she a full time student? - Yes

Is she married? - No

Did she live in your home for the whole year? (Temporary absence for school is living in your home) -Yes

Did she provide over one-half of her own support? -No

Is another person in the home also supporting her? - No

If you answered those questions as stated and she is still not your dependent then delete her and re-enter.

most likely you answered a question about her dependency status incorrectly.

the one i'm thinking about is her residency status,   she's regarded as living with you if her principal residence is the same as yours for more than 1/2 the year.   absences for attending school, being on vacation, and the like are ignored.

the only other one would be if she was married and filed a joint return, but you give no indication she was married and filed a joint return with her spouse.
