Are you using desktop TurboTax (CD/download) or Online TurboTax? You didn't say, but since you posted in another thread where the missing file topic was for desktop software, this answer assumes you are referring to desktop TurboTax.
This answer will not apply if you are referring to Online TurboTax. If you're using Online TurboTax, we'll give you a completely different answer.
For your installed desktop software are you using a Mac or Windows PC? And what operating system version?
Are you sure the file is gone, or perhaps it is just the shortcut icon missing from inside the TurboTax interface? When you open your TurboTax software, if that large rectangular shortcut icon is gone from the TurboTax main screen, the underlying file could still be present on your computer.
Search your entire system for any tax data file ending in *.tax2020 and also check the Recycle Bin. Also check any external storage backup. If you find a temporary file ending in a tilde, that is a backup file; i.e., such as ~returnname.tax2020.
