Mother in law claimed me without telling me and my taxes got rejected...

I received unemployment from March until November of 2024 and had taxes taken out of each check, during this time I was living with my mother in law but paid for my own stuff she claimed me and I didn't know until after I tried to do my taxes and it was rejected because I was claimed. What should I do? Can I still refile my taxes if I put down I was a dependent since she claimed me? Will I owe anything since she claimed me?

You can indicate on your tax return that you can be claimed as a dependent so that you can e-file your tax return.  Doing this will have no effect on any tax refund that you would be eligible to receive nor will it increase any taxes you may owe.
