missing part of my refund

I been filing with you guys for 3 years already I am missing my state return and part of my federal return. I would like to know what's happening with my money.

Each state is different in how they process refunds. You will need to check with your state for when to expect a refund. You can contact the Department of Revenue for your state.

For the federal refund - since you received a part of your refund, the IRS will send you a letter stating why you did not receive the full amount and what actions to take.

okay I get that for my state one. my federal refun in the other hand the irs is telling me they didn't retain any money from it, that they deposit the 1854 that was showing on my transcript. they haven't kept any additional money or modified my return.  so this is coming from your end and I need answers and I need this fix ASAP.

Oh! That is a different thing! If you paid Turbo Tax before filing, it should have all deposited. If you had fees taken from your refund, the bank SBTPG would have received your refund, taken out our fees and theirs, then given you the remainder. There should not be a reason for them to hold part of it unless you owed money to a business associated with SBTPG or they made a mistake. You can check the TPG website or call them at 800-717-7228.

so I see, and looked up the info you provided to me. so my main concern is that those charges for the 3rd party you guys added were never specify by you all because I am 100% sure this never happened to me before in 4 year doing my taxes with yoy guys

Have you always used the Refund Processing Service?    It sounds like this is the first year you elected to do that?     If you normally pay your TurboTax fees with a credit card, then your refunds have not been going through the 3rd party bank.   The 3rd party bank only gets refunds from those who choose to pay their fees with their refund instead of paying the fees when they filed.   There may be a charge for this service, depending on your situation and which add-ons you choose.   We display the fees, if any, when you get ready to file.

no, I have always paid with my refund and do direct deposit I haven't changed anything about it

There is a fee for using Refund Processing.    It shows on the screen when you choose that option.    But have you checked your TurboTax filing fees to see if you added an add-on service that you did not use in the past.   You can review your TurboTax fess by viewing your order details.    To see what changed this year, you could compare this year's order details with the previous years' fees.     How to view My TurboTax Order fee detail.

yes I understand that I have pay before for my taxes being filed with turbotax, I chose the option of pay that with my refund and I have done it before. but I never paid for anything else. the amount it was shown at the end of me filing was the amount I got on my account

Since you have been doing this for several years, I think there is more going on. The bank fee of $39.99 that @DawnC has marked with a red underline has always been a part of the process. The refund you are getting shows after all the fees are taken out so the numbers do match. I believe you are missing more than $39.99 and need to contact SBTPG to find out if they withheld any of your money, 800-717-7228
