Maternity Leave Question Ohio
Hello, during the beginning of 2024 I was on Matetnity Leave and I am unsure if there is a speciality tax paper I will need to file my taxes. My employer paid out my maternity leave (checks were still issued by Walmart) and I only received a digital W2 so far. Should I wait to file? Or is my maternity pay included on my standard W2?

Maternity Leave Question Ohio
You should contact your HR department to ask if the Maternity Leave benefit is included in your W-2 (we would have no way of knowing this).
Note that e-filing at the IRS does not open until January 27th, so there is no rush to file just yet. Better to wait a week or two so that you can be sure of the answer and not have to file an amended return if you get another form.
