I live in NH and work in Massachusetts. Wages are MA taxable, but capitol gains are not since they are not the result of business conducted in MA. How do I exclude capitol gains from the Massachusetts tax software? Is there a box in the federal software that needs to be checked? Thanks in advance for your assistance.

On you federal return under the Personal info you will answer Yes to the question "Did you made money in any other state."
When you reach the state returns, start with MA non-resident return, TurboTax will ask you to allocate your income items from the Federal return to the non-resident state return. Enter 0 for the amount of MA capital gain.
Thank You.
