Before I purchase TT Home & Business, can anyone confirm that it is working on a Mac Pro 2019 with Big Sur 11.2.2, including the transfer of 2019 Turbo Tax data?

I have been unsuccessful in getting TT to run under Big Sur 11.2.1.   iMac 2017.  Please read the various discussions on this site under Big Sur.

It was a problem for me in the beginning but eventually it updated and worked fine

We are unable to open turbo 2020 in Big Sur. Tech support is ignorant to this problem. Shame on you

I have Big Sur and started doing my tax return. Then I couldn't get back to my return because Turbotax wouldn't open. I consulted Turbotax a number of times and discarded and reloaded Turbotax twice. It still won't open. If Turbotax can't fix the problem I plan to file a consumer complaint with the Attorney General's office. I suggest you do the same. Turbotax is committing consumer fraud if it can't fix the problem with Big Sur.

If you read the problems with Big Sur, you may realize that the problem is with the new Big Sur macOS.  Intuit can only do so much to make it work with the new Big Sur OS.  Some users appear to have succeeded  using TurboTax under Big Sur, and many have not.  I have given up on TT working under Big Sur at this time, and will be going back to macOS Catalina.  I have a number of other system problems that the upgrade to Big Sur have created.  You may want to read the terms of usage from both Apple and Intuit before spending time on a formal complaint. What ever you do, Good Luck.  You are not alone in your frustration.

Well... Everything except Turbotax is working fine on my iMac (retina 27-inch 2020) running Big Sur.  I completed my tax returns on "the other" tax preparation program and it worked flawlessly.

Finally found the work-around to getting Turbotax to work on Big Sur. First, if you're on Big Sur and you get a pop-up box that says "It looks like we hit a snag" and asks you to notify Turbotax - DON'T DO IT. That's what caused the problem originally for me. Once I did that, Turbotax wouldn't open. I deleted Turbotax and reinstalled it a number of times and that didn't work. What I had to do was to delete Turbotax and then go into my computer library and locate and delete the corrupted Turbotax files. (I was helped to find those files by another support user.)  Make sure you fully delete these corrupted files from your trash. Then reinstall Turbotax. You will still get the problem pop-up that says to notify Turbotax, but you'll know better than to do it. The pop-up will eventually disappear. I hope Turbotax comes up with a fix for the pop-up and lets users know that you have to remove the corrupted files before reinstalling Turbotax. The Turbotax personnel I spoke with didn't know that had to be done. Good luck!!

Any updates on if this will work on a MacBook Air new M1 Big Sur 11.2.2?  I’ve read herb5 and mikeB61’s helpful tips, but I plan to download from Amazon and I’m not sure I would be able to download more than once.  Would I be better off waiting a few weeks to see if the issue gets fixed?

Called turbotax - 24 minutes - the rep has me on hold for over 10m now (obviously he doesn't know).

I would ask for a higher level of support.  I downloaded from TT website using a new license code given to me by support.  We did a screen share.  Good luck!

I purchased turbo tax deluxe tax year 2020 Mac download paid 70.00 around 1/24/2021.  Mac updated their system to 11.2.2 a week ago, now I cannot open 2019 nor 2020.  Either give me a fix or I want my 2020 refund of 70.00.  I doing taxes and cannot do them.  I spoke with apple support and was informed that turbo tax does not consulate them about their system.  do not tell me it is on apple in it is with your company.  I am highly upset that I go through this every year.

Can you please explain this further? I was 90% done with three returns, when the rainbow time out button appeared and TurboTax crashed. When I try to open my files, it is prompting me to install critical TurboTax updates -- which I hesitate to do until I hear from you -- and I can't open TurboTax at all. ARGH!

Any direction is much appreciated!
