LLC transfer from 2018 to 2019 drops an owner from business information
Using TurboTax Business 2019 desktop app for Windows. Last year I used the 2018 version. When I transfer my 2018 LLC partnership it dropped my partner from my business information, only shows one partner with 50 percent ownership. I have tried starting the transfer three times but the same thing happens every time. Additionally, I have a different LLC partnership and the business information transfer worked fine for that one! Any tips would be appreciated or else I'll just have to start with a new 2019 return from scratch.
(I can't just add my partner back because when I try, Turbotax thinks the ownership has changed.)

LLC transfer from 2018 to 2019 drops an owner from business information
You might try reviewing your 2018 return carefully with respect to the information for the "dropped" member; it could be that the member was somehow shown as having disposed of his/her interest or otherwise left the LLC.
Beyond that, you might want to contact Support (link below) during regular business hours for troubleshooting this issue.

LLC transfer from 2018 to 2019 drops an owner from business information
Appears (not alone) I have encountered that same issue (one partner). In my case the partner's (50/50) information has not transferred from 2018 - 2019 (Widows).
Any tips (before March 15,2020)would be appreciated or else I'll just have to start with a new 2019 return from scratch.

Do you still have access to the 2018 version of TurboTax Business?
If so, you should be able to open your 2018 Form 1065 in the program and check (thoroughly) for any anomalies.
Even if there is nothing that appears to be out of the ordinary in terms of the partner/member information, you could save the file (use a different filename) and then try transferring the newly saved file into the 2019 version.

LLC transfer from 2018 to 2019 drops an owner from business information
Using TurboTax Business. When I transfer the information from the 2018 file, none of the four members of the LLC appear in the "Partner?Member Information" area...or in any form. The financial information does seem to transfer. Have tried to force member information into program but then treats members as "new members" . Have tried saving 2018 file with different name and that didn't work. Went back to 2018 program and imported 2017 file and it does import the members correctly...so information in 2018 file should be correct. Was told this was a known issue, but two updates have not addressed the problem.

It is, indeed, a known issue in the sense that it has occurred in several instances, but the developers need to track it down because they, on their own, have not been able to reproduce the issue (I have tried a number of test transfers and have yet to experience this anomaly).

@Robert Cowan I can have a Moderator get in touch with you for that purpose.
Please let me know if you are willing to send some screenshots and, possibly, a sanitized copy of your return.

LLC transfer from 2018 to 2019 drops an owner from business information
I have the same problem importing into 2019 from 2018 for my S Corp. it brings in only one of nine shareholders. There is nothing wrong with last year’s data. No one at support has had a clue. They send me links for importing errors unrelated to my problem, then close the case.

@Leslie5280 I do not think this is an issue Support can ameliorate in most instances. The developers are aware of the issue and are, quite obviously, working to resolve it.

LLC transfer from 2018 to 2019 drops an owner from business information
For my case I was able to work around the problem by not importing last years file and entering data like it was the first year of using the program. Tedious...but it worked for our simple return situation.

That is unacceptable. This must be affecting so many business users.
