Late filing 2017 taxes

I didn't file my taxes for the years 2017 or 2018. Can I still use TURBOTAX or any other internet site to file my taxes for free ???

If your tax return is very simple, you can use the TurboTax Free Edition to file a 2018 tax return. Here is where to access it: https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/online/

Even if it is more complicated, you may be able to use a free file product to file if you are eligible.  Here is the link to get to that program: https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/2026912-how-do-i-switch-to-turbotax-free-file-program
You qualify if you had $34,000 or less AGI or $66,000 or less military family AGI or qualify for EITC. Click on See if you qualify then Yes (if you do) then Start Now button, then choose Create an Account.

TurboTax does not have any products that are free for filing a 2017 tax return.  If you want to pay, here is a link to buy and download the 2017 program to your computer: https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/past-years-products/

You could try using a search engine to search for free 2017 programs from other sources.

Do you know of any free reliable websites to do 2017 taxes on? 

Also, I noticed the 2017 package details say "if you own a home" etc, which does not qualify for me. Can I still use this even if I don't own a home?

Yes, you can use any of the 2017 desktop software editions without owning a home.
All TurboTax desktop software editions can handle all the usual tax situations.   The higher editions offer more help and guidance with certain topics.  But all the editions prepare the same forms.

Those listings under the products are just suggestions.

You can use any of the Desktop programs.  They all have the same forms.  You just get more help and guidance in the higher versions.  So you can just buy Deluxe.   The package description and questions like owning a home are just suggestions.  Anyone can use any version.
