I worked in 2 states. The additional state software is more than the Deluxe version of Turbotax. Can I just purchase an additional Deluxe and use the state filing from it?

Additional state software from website is going to cost me almost $50.00.  I can purchase the Deluxe software for $35.00 on Amazon.  Can I purchase another Deluxe package and use the state filing only?

No. That wouldn't work.  You need the extra state in the same return.

i agree i don't remember paying that much for additional state in the past. i seem to remember 19.95. and then when i go to file that state i will also be charge for filling. rip off. came back to turbo tax after using a different software. i don't think i'll be using turbo tax again

I also agree!!  I've been trying to purchase that second state but TurboTax will not let me complete the purchase and I cannot find a phone number for customer support.  This is the worst customer support I have seen!!!!!
