It has been strange why so TurboTax tax expert asking my email and phone number when they already have it ??? It has been so frustrating. Cuz before they didn’t do that

I didn’t give them for other expert on live chat but now they asking email and phone etc very strange . I can’t ask questions they don’t answer if I don’t give up my verifications it’s so hard anyone have experience like this ?

It depends on the type of assistance you are requesting. TurboTax Experts cannot provide information, but can verify. 

What does this mean? 

• They will need to verify your identity in order to access your account. If any information provided is incorrect or out of date, they can request additional information to verify your identity.
• If you have any doubts about your personal information, for example: "you can't remember which email you used to create your account", in this case, we will ask for the emails you think you used, and we will verify whether that's the one we have on file or not, but cannot provide you with the information directly. 

Again, we can't provide you with any personal information (Name, SSN, Address, Phone Number, Email, User ID etc...), But we can verify the correct information that we have on our system if you provide it to us.
