Due to a possible glitch, the 2018 Turbo Tax Federal software will not permit any date during the 2018 year

And the upper-left corner of the software screen says "TurboTax Deluxe 2018" ?

….if truly 2018....exactly what entry are you making...the exact deduction type & place..

My warmest thanks is extended to all who replied. The issue was my software had not yet been updated. I thought it was because of date does take a considerable amount of time to update the software. so in some of the questions dealing with deductions it was not allowing me to input information because the forms had not been updated. I have resolve this issue however. Again thank you

Ok...got it....The early software requires a LOT of updates during the tax year, especially thru to 1-April...but the major ones are usually done by mid-March.
