Is there a way to e-file if I have a W-2 in which Block 1 is blank?
I received an additional W-2 from my employer in which only Block 12 is filled out with the letter "P" and amount stated. I entered this into TurboTax and I am now being warned that I am not able to e-file because Block 1 is blank. Is there any workaround for this or do I really need to file by mail?

Yes, you can E-File, but you should combine the two W-2's first.
Simply include the information in box 12 of the second W-2 with the posting of your original W-2.
- From time to time an employer will need additional room for extra information on the W-2.
- This may be why you received the additional W-2.
- When retuning to the original W-2
- Log back into Wages & Income
- Select Job (W-2) [Add/Edit]
- Select the W-2 using the down arrow
- Click [Edit] on the bottom of the screen
- Continue to the input screen
- Under Box 12a - 12b
- Click [+ Add another box 12 item]
- Continue the interview to the end.

Thank you for the reply. I just noticed the W-2s have different EINs. I am not sure why as this is the same employer but the W-2 is issued from their travel section. Does this matter or am I still good to combine into one?

No, if they have different EIN's then it is being paid by two different entities and have been reported separately as different employers, so you should not combine them into one.
