Is there a way to change my dependent name?

If you have already filed the return, you cannot make any changes until the IRS either accepts or rejects the return. 

If you have not filed yet, you can use the steps here below to change/add a dependent. 

• Log into your account, click orange Take me to my return button
• Click Personal Info tab at top 
• Scroll down and click the Edit option next to the name of the dependent you want to change and change all information there OR you can click Delete to remove that dependent completely 
• You can then go back to this section and choose +Add a dependent to add a new person
