To resolve this issue check for updates. If updates are done, close down the program and restart. It should work after you restart. It worked for me.
It may depend on where you are trying to enter the information. For example, some issues with school districts involve multiple localities on Form W-2.
The entry in W-2, Box 20, is the name of the locality responsible for assessing your local income tax. It could be a city, town, school district, or something else. Depending on where you live, you may even have more than one. If you do, just add a new row to enter info for another locality.
There should only be one Box 20 entry per locality. Check with your employer to determine whether one of the duplicate localities is incorrect. All of the wages taxed by one locality on one W-2 should be on a single line.
If this is for an Ohio return: You can make additional entries for Ohio School District Taxes, such as to correct your school district code, in the Ohio return. In the Ohio interview in TurboTax, continue past the income, credits and other taxes section, until you get to the screen "A few things before we wrap up your state taxes". See screenshot below. Select Edit or Revisit next to School District Taxes and complete the screens that follow.
If you entered your school district code in the W-2 section of the Federal return, the Ohio interview will have it and will inform you if anything needs to be revised. The W-2 interview does allow you to enter Ohio school district codes.
