Is our payment at the IRS site going to be applied to our 2021 account balance?

Government site shows larger payment than balance, but still outstanding balance.  Like it did not get applied

Unfortunately, only the IRS can answer that question.  Has the payment cleared your bank or credit card yet?

Others have posted their payments went thru but the IRS account transcript is not reflecting that payment ... eventually the system will catch up when they get around to processing the balance due returns.
