I'm having some issues on getting my W-2 form emailed to me from a company I worked for in 2008

2008 is fourteen years ago. It is unlikely you will be able to secure a W-2 from that long ago from a former employer or any other source.

Yes, you can get a copy from the Social Security Administration that has W-2's from 1978 to current, however they charge $90 per copy.
